your nipples are just dry, make sure you are moisturising and takeing extra care of them. it's most likely just sever just dry skin expecially this time of year.. good luck

Try putting Petroleum jelly to lessen the pain and to prevent it from drying. See a doctor about the burning sensation. It may be serious.
Could your irritation be a sign of pregnancy?
Try putting some lotion on them, your skin just might be really, really dry which is causing the peeling & the pain. Also, could you possibly be allergic to your laundry detergent, maybe try switching your laundry detergent & see if that helps.
Same thing happened to me. That was cause my brast were getting bigger and my nipples too. since they were stretching the skin satrted to peel off. i don't know if this is ur case or maybe ur nipples are just dry.
