I'm taking Ortho Tricylclen Lo and I just started about 3 weeks ago. On Sunday, I got really bad cramps in the lower area and I had some spotting. It went away, and then came back the following day. Today, I still have those cramps, but now I've been bleeding constantly and the blood is a brownish color. I have two horomone pills to take yet. This can't be normal, can it?New to The Pill?
If this is your first pack, this is probably pretty normal. One of the common side effects of the pill is period irregularity and other physical disturbances.
Doctors want women to use a particular brand for 3 months with the expectation that symptoms will subside. If after 3 packs however you're still experiencing unpleasant side effects, then you should contact your doctor and try a different formulation.
Those actually are some of the side effects associated with the use of birth control but its recommended you see a doctor and discuss these symptoms to make sure they aren't linked to more serious, dangerous side effects.
Talk to your doctor. Lots of people have problems adjusting to the pill at first tho, so don't panic. I switched to the depo shot because way less side effects and way more convenient.
yeah, that's normal when you first start taking the pill.
You do get more severe symptoms when you first start. Then your body adjusts. The spotting may come around sometimes in the middle of your cycle. The cramps should subside and stop.
I had pretty much the same thing happen when i started the pill. it goes away after a while.
