Normal to bleed for almost 3 weeks after no period for 3 months?

HAS ANYONE EVER HAD THERE PERIOD LAST FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS AT HEAVY BLEEDING? IS THIS SOMETHING NORMAL FOR A WOMEN IN HER 20'S?Normal to bleed for almost 3 weeks after no period for 3 months?
When i bleed for 4 weeks I was miscarrying...
But you seem to have irregular periods in general, which needs to be addressed, so I do suggest to speaking to your doctor.
It could be a hormonal imbalance, which can be corrected with the combination pill (previously used when I was 13) due to ovarian cyst...

No, it is not normal...same thing happened to me, I was so dizzy almost to the point of passing out, went to the doctor and he admitted me to the hospital, they gave me an emergency blood transfusion...said that I had lost so much blood that if I had waited another 24 hours I would have died.

Bleeding more than the normal cycle is NOT NORMAL! There can be more to it than simple menstrual problems. Bleeding for 3 weeks is something that really deserves medical attention so i will strongly suggest that you go see an OB-GYNE real soon. Goodluck dear!
You may have an irregualr period. I have a roommate that is like that and she gets her period about every two or three months, but when she gets it she bleeds severe. Sometimes it will bleed for 3 weeks and sometimes it will last longer than that. But to say the least your body just probably was not ready to clean itself so it decided to wait and clean itself for the next three weeks.
