My abnormal pap results went from slightly abnormal to high risk lesion in six months.?

Now I am going for a colposcopy and biopsy and then the dr. said there was a good chance I would have a Leep as well. I understand the procedures, and they have told me not to worry because this is very common. Still, I am terrified about it! I am worried because it seemed to get worse really quickly. If anyone has any comforting words I would appreciate it. I can't believe more people don't talk about this!My abnormal pap results went from slightly abnormal to high risk lesion in six months.?
i went through the same procedures years back. i also had a LEEP.....it wasn't bad. don't be scared hun, it's really not that bad. they knocked me out and i felt nothing. i was up and about in a few hours. you'll be fine!
i have had three abnormal pap smears and now im off to get a colposcopy next month and everyone i talk to about it just dismisses my thoughts and worries it pisses me off. I dont really know how to comfort you but i do know what you are going through so i hope it will be ok for you. my thoughts are with you.
I went through the colopscopy and biopsy...all normal now (thank God!). I know that I was freaking out so much. I have talked to several others that have had it done as well. They had the same experience as I did...it wasnt the most comfortable thing in the world but it did not hurt. Just kind of inconvienient. I have never had the Leep done (mine cleared up after the colposcopy). You totally have the right to freak out but just be thankful that things were caught early and it will be over soon enough.
