I had unprotected sex on Saturday (today is Wensday) there was no condom, no pill no noththing , I got the morning after pills but not until today .. so it is about 4 days later, the doctor said that there is like a 50/50 chance of being pregnate, anyone have any experience with how effect the pills are after a few days? Thanks : )Morning After Pill?
please don't have unprotected sex anymore....
Today is Thursday, but maybe where you are it could be WeDnEsday, but please, please don't breed.......
Usually they say to take it no later than 72 hours after the initial intercourse...your doc knows the stats, best to listen to him. Try to be prepared next time, I know these things happen, but just try to keep a female condom (or some type of contraceptive) available in your purse.
Firstly, the longer you wait, the less effective the morning after pill is, and I think after 72 hours, it is much less effective. 50/50 sounds like a good bet from your doctor.
That being said, a female does not automatically become pregnant every time they have sex - most women are only fertile (able to get pregnant) for around 2 days either side of ovulation (mid-cycle).
Lastly, please be better prepared next time. If you are going to have casual sex, then make sure you use some barrier protection, the best of which is a condom - have some in your bag. Remember however, condoms are not 100% effective, and you can still get gential warts etc by skin to skin contact around the genitalia that a condom does not protect against.
Only abstainance gives a 100% protection rate (the best option until marriage).
